About Verde Biofuel

Verde Biofuel, although founded in 2008, was actually born in an old barn, somwhere back east, about 200 years ago. The inspiration behind our little company based in Jerome, Arizona, came from old barnwood that is brought back to this historic ghost town and recycled as furniture by another Jerome based company, Western Heritage Furniture. In an effort to expand their commitment to their environmental resposibilities, Western Heritage Furniture decided to run 100% biodiesel in all their delivery vehicles - which deliver furniture to 150 retailers in 30 states.

After four years, thousands of gallons of biodiesel and countless hours of research and development, Verde Biofuel was officially founded. Tim McClellan, CEO of Western Heritage Furniture, along with brothers John and Dennis, began manufacturing Verde Biotrailers™ and have already shipped units all around the country. Armed with the knowledge and experience from the rigourous testing performed over the last few years, John, our engineer, has developed what we believe is the best biodiesel processor out there, when compared to others in our price range.

After experiencing the benefits of processing and using biodiesel first hand, the brothers McClellan realized the next step along their "green" path would be to reach out, educate and inspire people within the community to make a change. We continue to provide demonstrations at schools, for town councils and even fire departments. This outreach has helped make Verde Biofuel a success not only in our own community, but in communities from here to the east coast. . . and we anticipate implementing systems in other parts of the globe in the near future.

By providing an affordable solution that will accomodate the fuel needs beyond the typical home brewer; by maintaining our commitment to educate ourselves as well as others; by understanding that we are "all in this together", Verde Biofuel is proud to help facilitate a means to a more sustainable, environmentally conscience and economically intelligent world, one community at a time.

Southeastern Community College will be using a mobile biodiesel processor built by Jerome, Arizona-based Verde Biofuel for this program. While the processor is for educational purposes, demonstrating how various seeds can be turned into fuel.
